    Giddday guys

I have just puy NHC on my W3J and am wondering which will run as the default power management system. Do I have to disable Power4Gear for NHC to run the show, or will it just take over automatically? I intended to set NHC to max battery when on battery power, and max performance when on mains. Any ideas or advice woukd be appreciated.

    Thanks and regards to all

You can run both NHC and P4G concurrently; many here have reported no issues or conflicts. There shouldn't be much overlap in function, except for P4G taking over the dynamic switching part from NHC and keeping the cpu freq controlled at 25-50-75-100% in the P4G profiles.

If you're not planning to undervolt, simply using NHC for Max Batt/Perform as you propose just duplicates what you've already got in P4G using the Quiet Office and Max Performance options. Office mode locks the cpu at 1/2 power, which is the default Speedstep minimum on low load anyway, Max Perform locks the cpu at 100% (with the corresponding high heat production).

NHC's power is in option for undervolting of the cpu - if you're not planning on using it I'd just stick with P4G, because it's more straightforward and you can still use the hotkey button to control your profiles.
