    Naming scheme

    I'm new to Asus laptops and I don't understand how Asus names their different models. They just look like a random strings to me!

    It's best if you will out a faq, but to give you a very rough low-down, Asus notebooks goes something like this.....

    F series: Best bang for buck. Budget notebooks, but still very capable for gaming. Currently only available in 12", 14" and 17" form
    G series: Gaming series. Geared towards gamers like the name suggests. 15" and 17" form
    M series: Multimedia system. will have similar specs as the G and F series, but with added features such as altec lancing speakers, numberpad, media control mouse pad. 15" and 17" form
    V series: Business class. Built most sturdily. Spill resistant keyboard. Slightly less impressive specs. Comes with docking station 14" and 15" form
    W series: one of the better built consumer class notebook with good graphics power. 13" and 17"
    U series: fashion/ultra-portable. Strong chassis. Leather palm rests, 12" and 13" form
    VX series: Fashion/luxury and "Overly priced" series mainly due to the partnership w/ the Lamborghini brand. Comes with lots of nice accessories and with decent specs. comes with docking station. 12" and 15" form
