    Hello,

I have an ASUS M6Ne laptop (the 15.1" version in the M6 series). It's nearly 3 years old, but I'm still getting good use out of it. Unfortunately, the left-side hinge under the LCD screen has broken and it's giving the lid problems opening and closing. I would like to buy a replacement hinge (or even a set of hinges, since the right-side hinge is undoubtedly also getting tired). Does anyone know where I might be able to buy some hinges?

    Thanks,
    Scott

    Probably the ASUS eStore: http://estore.asus.com/shop/

I hear more and more often of this problem, yet my M6BNe hinges have no problem.. I think they have indeed been replaced last year in August due to unrelated reasons, so probably in a year or so I might get the issues.

I also have a dissasembly manual, send me a PM with your email address and I will send it to you.

By the way, do you have the M6Ne or the M6 BNe? I think the first, the second is widescreen 15.4.

Thanks for your help! I will contact the eStore to see if those hinges will work. I have the M6Ne, which is the non-widescreen model. It's been a great laptop. I'm hoping to get just one more semester's use out of it before I graduate college. Then I'll be able to afford a new one!
