Pls help me decide between the following two. I already have the Asus listed below, but the vendor agreed to exchange the same for the Toshiba below. Now I have both and will have to return one of them soon. I'm quiet confused about which one to keep. Performance wise I see both are quiet similar, but I have some wireless signal issues and heating issues with Toshiba which are not present with Asus. Apart from that the Toshiba looks much sexier than the Asus but I'm least bothered about the looks. Pls help me decide between the two. I'm more concerned about performance and durability only.

It seems like an easy enough choice, but what's the problem with the K50?

What are their graphics cards? That would be an important factor to choose on my side.

The only issue with Asus is that it doesn't have HDMI port but the Toshiba has that.

Both have integrated Intel HD graphics

I think between the P series CPU and DDR3 you'll get slightly better battery life with the Toshiba. You shouldn't have overheating issues with this CPU.

The 2.3 vs 2.0 GHz doesn't matter in this case; both CPUs are basically equally matched. I would lean towards the Satellite in this case. My friend recently got one and loves it.

Probably not a deal breaker, but the K50 also lacks HDMI from the specs posted.

I would go for the Toshiba. Both companies have pretty woeful tech support, and in the case of the notebooks, the Toshiba is better.
