Okay, I've been trying to decide on what laptop and have yet to come up with a final decision. I'm torn in between Dell's E1705 and the W2J. Both are good laptops in my opinion, but I need a 'professional's' help on this. It's just not the gaming, but also the overall use of the laptop - it's durability, and how dependable it is.

Thanks for all your help in advance.

The Asus will be better built, but a significant cost difference. It really boils down to what you value more which is difficult for me to anwser. I could say get the Asus, but it's not my money.

I agree with ZaZ. However, I think the E1705 is not all bad when it comes to build quality. I'm not too fond of the inspiron series, I prefer Latitudes. But for some reason, I love the E1705.

I think that you couln't go wrong with either of the notebooks, but to me the one that Bobdare has the link for looks better than the e1705,if style is your thing.

My limit is around 2500. I've had my eye on the W2J for a while now, it's just that the E1705 is another one to consider...and I don't want to spend 2500 and just be disappointed. Thanks for the link, Bobdare! Now, you just made my decision a little bit harder!!!!(that's a compliment by the way).

My own personal opinion is I would not spend that kind of money on a notebook since they have such a short shelf life until you are itching for the next one. Thank goodness for eBay.
