I've been searching and searching through google for the V1S replacement keyboard, but i'm having no luck finding it. Does ASUS use some other model code, or is it simply compatible with another more common model's keyboard?

Big thanks for pointing me in the right direction

I dont think there would be many other compatiable keyboards other than the one sold by Asus as its fairly unique in its spill proof design. At best you could pop off the keys one by one and replace them with ones you like more.

I'm not looking for "another one". I'm looking for THE OEM keyboard, I can't find anyone who sells it. Does ASUS sell it directly? If so do i just call them up, or is there a site, or what?

I'm buying one here in europe and i always replace my laptop keyboards with US equivalents. Changing keys around won't work, its about the shape, really (shift and enter keys)

I got a replacement keyboard for my G1S for free under warranty. The original one was diving off on the right side.

I don't see why they wouldn't ship you a new one, either under warranty (if there was a problem) or for some cash.
