Time for an upgrade from my Asus M51Sn me thinks, but I have no idea where to buy it from in the UK. Only the N56VM is available is here, but I need the N56VZ model. (With GT650M)

So far the cheapest I have seen it is on Amazon.de, for 999 euros. But if I buy it from there, I am assuming it will come with a German keyboard?

Is there any easy way to replace the German keyboard with a US or UK keyboard? (eg Paying ASUS Warranty service etc) Or is it not worth the bother? Any ideas from fellow members would be much appreciated!

    Cheers.

What I can do is give you the hotline for our approve service centers then you can call to see if they carry that keyboard and see how much it will cost to get it changed so you don't void your warranty.

Here is the link below and good luck.

The VZ isn't generally available yet in the UK and the rest of most of Europe (for example The Netherlands, where I live). The VZ isn't very good available in Germany either, the current estimate is 30 july.

I can only find the N56VM models in Currys for 699.99. It would be really great if we can find a N56VZ model in UK

The alternative way is to buy the N56VZ from US (so far the cheapest is Asus 15.6" Full HD Notebook Computer, 8GB RAM N56VZ-DS71 with postage costing around £750. But ofcourse, it will come with a US keyboard :( )

If anyone can find the N56VZ model in UK , please tell :)

Did you calculate other fees on top of that? + VAT + customs/ royal mail handling fee. Im sure it ends up being £900+

Anyway... I've given up waiting, I've placed an order for the equivalent Clevo laptop, £780 for: 15" Full HD, i7-3610QM, 4GB RAM, GT 650m DDR5, WD 320GB 7200rpm HD, upgraded wireless.
Should be ready within a week!

No luck, I had been waiting a VERY long time, and it still hadn't appeared. I also tweeted ASUS UK, asking for an ETA, but they thought it was good enough of them just to say, "Arriving soon!" They simply lost another customer. (Plus I have had bad experiences with ASUS RMA in the past.)

In the end I couldn't wait much longer, as my previous laptop was aging. I pulled the trigger on the Y580 in my sig, and haven't regretted it since, having also tried the N56 several times.

IMO it has much better build quality. Other things include a much better GFX card, and a better screen. Unfortunately it comes at a higher price though, but this is the rip-off UK, so can't do much about it.
