Need an Asus Notbook Suggestion - Canada

I'm looking for a 14.1" widescreen, with a built in webcam, core2duo, 2 gigs of memory, and ~120gig harddrive. I don't need dedicated graphics, but need something that can handle Aero. It has to be quite portable, fairly lightweight, and decent battery life. I also want it with Vista preinstalled.

Does Asus have a model that fits this description available?

 

Try looking up the Asus A8Jp.

 

The A8jp is not available in Canada since New Egg doesn't ship up north.

Take a look at the other A8 series ( a8jm, a8js ).

 

Surely, there must be an Asus reseller that ships to or resides in Canada that offers the A8Jp. Is Newegg the only option for all Canadians? Eh?

No one sells A8Jp up here.

 

Depending on how long you want to wait, you can get yourself into a nice V2, Z37 or just get a A8js.

The A8js is available with bluetooth, we also offer upgrades/customization on our laptops.

 

When will V2 and Z37 be available?

 

Some estimate March/April. The V2 is an ensemble laptop and the Z37 is a barebone laptop in which you can customize.

 

As much as I would love to wait, I don't think I can wait until April to purchase a notebook. My biggest problem is, for the cost a machine like the A8Js should include 2 gigs of ram, especially since it now come preloaded with vista.

I just saw that orders for the ASUS A8JR-4P021C is being taken over at NCIX. Will you guys be carrying this model? I like the fact that you can upgrade it for me (i.e throw in an extra memory module)... and I have no problem giving my business to you guys instead. This is weird... No response from MilestonePC from email sent 4 days ago, no response to PM, and no response to this thread.

You can resend, but I believe the Danny is unable to get the a8jr, sorry, or he is extremely busy at this moment due to a family illness.
You can also call the store aswell.
