    1. My sound seems abnormally low, especially when listening to most streaming media. Sometimes I need to put my ears close to the speakers to hear but can hear loud and clear when using my older Toshiba laptop. I wonder if there's some option that I'm missing out on or something.

    2. My touchpad is always disabled everytime I plug in my wireless mouse, which makes this very annoying. Again, hoping this is an option thing as well.

    Please help....would greatly appreciate it.

Why it is bad that touch pad is disabled every time you connect your wireless mouse? Has your old Toshiba been different?

All laptops that I've ever used never had this restriction. It more of convenience for me when I don't have my mouse by my side. If this is a feature then I'm hoping there is at least an option to disable/enable.

I found when I upgraded the sound drivers on realtek's website, the volume on my speakers went up. I would try that.

Also, use a video player like VLC which lets you expand the volume past the windows limit.
