Hey everyone, I just finished up fixing a k53ta( replaced broken screen and keyboard, moved the hdd to a caddy and made a ssd my main drive, installed windows 8.1 and every driver on the asus website except for the asus crapware, and cleaned dust out of the internals) and I want to know what I should do next. I want to play games to the best of this laptops ability, and I have no clue where to start. I've messed around with k10stat a bit, but I really have no idea what I'm doing with it so I haven't attempted anything beyond OCing to 2.7 ghz. I would appreciate any advice on what drivers and programs to have installed. Thanks!

P.S. Am I better off having windows 7 for this laptop, or in your opinion should I keep windows 8.1? Also, I attempted to install a intel centrino advanced-n 6230 wireless card and could not get the pc to boot up with it. Am I doing something wrong?
