I just got my s96J today and began installing windows on it. It went through the ASCII installation (formatting, copying files, etc) and started up the windows setup util with the graphical interface. However, it shut down, and when I restart it, it brings windows setup back up and I get the following error:
STOP: C000021a {Fatal System Error}
The session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000)
The system has been shut down.
It is a newer version of XP Pro with SP2 included. Now I can't even figure out how to get back so I can try a reinstallation.. I just starts up the windows setup that isn't working.
This is my first laptop, so please help me!

How many stick memory inside? Did you check the memory before by memory tester? How long the machine run and make it shut down? Do you have a original windows cd or just a copy of a cd?

Hey, for some reason it wouldn't let me login under the other name (using a different comp now)..
Anyways, it has 2 sticks of 1GB.. I didn't check the memory.. not sure how.. when i originally booted it out of the box, it just had a blank screen with a "_" blinking. I figured I just needed to start the windows installation.. Got through part of it and what i described happened.
The machine ran untill the graphical installation part of windows started (after you get through formatting/copying files, and it restarts and brings up windows set up). Now when I reboot, it will bring up the black windows xp loading screen, then it says "Restarting setup" and then goes to a blue screen with that error message.
It's a copy of a windows xp pro disc with SP2 on it.
I can't even figure out how to restart the windows setup util to reformat/install windows again..
