I bought a 30gb ocz vertex about a week ago, and just got around to installing it today. My issue is that after I install vista on it, it will not let me upgrade or clean install to w7 because it says I do not have enough space. I have deleted about as much as I can possibly do and was able to get around 15gb of free space, which was still not even enough. Which option should I pick when installing vista, the os on a single partition, os on entire hard drive, or the two partition one? I did the os on a single partition, which I have no clue if its the best one for a ssd.

Or am I out of luck installing w7 on this ssd from my upgrade discs? My laptop is a G71GX-RX05.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do you mean download w7 from the internet, and use the vista key on it, or would that not work?

edit: I feel retarded, forgot that the w7 upgrade disc comes with a product key. but my question is still the same. Do I download the full version off the internet?

One last question. What exactly do I need to do to completely wipe off everything from my hard drive and make it like I just bought the ssd and installed it.
