Hey this is a first for me. I am the one askign for help this time. Have a customer who has a weird issue with the card reader. Would appreciate any feedback here or there. Here is the link to the thread ----> http://geared2play.com/phpbb/nfphpbb/viewtopic.php?t=210
If i dont find a solution most likely the reader is defective.

I ran into a problem like that before on the HP 375B portable photo printer. I would sometimes work and then sometimes not. I've also tried formatting the stick by Windows and formatting by camera. Camera format is safer. But still I couldnt get it to work. All the other cards (SM, CF) seem to work, except the SD slot. I called HP on it and they said it may be a malfunction or something broken on the inside. They asked me if I shoved it in wrong, but they said mostlikely its a malfunction. I had to send it back for them to fix.

Ask him if he has any other cards lying around, he might have an old SM or CF card to test out.

I had a problem reading cards in a past in my Vaio, when the card was formated by my Canon camera. Try formating the card with a notebook or other way around. Not sure if it helps...

Anyone know any other drivers besides the ones asus offers? Thats about the only thing I can think of. Guess rma is the next option... :)
