    Need help with drivers after reinstalling Vista - M50Sv

    First of all I installed almost every driver from Asus's web site and I still cannot get the button to work which adjusts brightness and gamma. The next problem that I have is in my Device Manager, I cannot find the driver for this device: on Intel(R) ICH8M LPC Interface Controller - 2815. It seems its related to the ACPI. Thanks for your help.

    PS-I'm using the Nvidia 175.70 drivers which bumped Vista index to 5.0

    I just got off the phone with Asus technical support and was surprised to find out how knowledgeable they are. To adjust the brightness and gamma, you need to download the splendid driver. They didn't even ask for name and purchase time. To fix the ICH8 LPC problem you need to install the ITE Remote driver. OK, everything is now fixed, will reinstall everything again.

    PS-I'm impressed, I'm going to start recommending Asus
