    I own an Asus C90S.

Since the power-from-battery problem still exist on asus c90, i decided i would get the ram that is needed to get to get this laptop finally working normally.

Could anyone please tell me what are the names and models of the Ram that i should get who do you think i should get them from. I dont know if there are any modification made to the different shipments of the c90 beacause i heard each one requires a different Ram.

I wanted a full 3 gb, i want to experience what c90 can do even once in my life. I have a 2gb OCZ. I would appreciate if you can tell me the proper Ram(s) that i need to have a nice problem-free c90

I also live in Burnaby, BC, Canada. V5A 1S6.
so what do you think would be the best store to order from.

    Thanks

Go to Crucial Memory's site and use their automated RAM utility. It will tell you everything you need to know about RAM and your laptop. Use what ever retailer is selling the cheapest lifetime warranty major brand manufacturer stick available.

It varies from C90 to C90 but I have run Value Select corsair 667 DDR2 1gbx2, 1gb +2gb and now 2gbx2 with no problems on either battery or power or turbogear modes.
From my experiences stay away from Kingston ram and never mix different brands of ram in a C90 it can be quite picky. Try amazon for a start.

Note you will need to flash bios to latest 1002 version to run with 4GB. Good luck

Remember, the c90s is really...reallly picky about the type of ram is takes so many websites can be wrong about it. That link that E.B.E. posted would be your best bet.

yeah, there's no other way but to bring it to the shop, test it on the spot. ( or have the shop ur buying from test if for you. ) The c90s is very very picky, there is no guarantee that each brand would work. For example, corsair sticks did not work at all for me, but worked 100 % with other c90s users. The same with Kingston, Transcend etc.

Best move, would be to test it urself, or have the shop test it for you. Usually, if it powers on without problems using battery, or if ur not having any BSOD while plugged in, chances are they would be problem free.
