I'm thinking about a custom V6000V. However, I've never seen their screens and don't know what to expect. Is it glossy like a Sony or matte like the IBM's?
How do they compare with other laptop screens?

    Thanks!

It's glossy like the Sony- which brings up that Asus makes many Sony Laptops. The quality of both brands are quite good. I'd also say that their screens are very top notched compared to anything you'll see at a local store, too. Also why are you customizing the V6V (just curious)? You will void your 2 year Global warranty.

The Asus ColorShine screen is a glossy screen...although it's not as glossy as some othe screen out there. I find it to be a perfect fit for me. At first, I was a matte screen person...but after using the Asus ColorShine screen, I love it! I've seen other glossy screens out there... Gateway... Toshiba... etc, and I have to say Asus's screens are (almost) up there along with Sony and Fujitsu.

Just remember ASUS only makes the chassis, and not the screen.

I'm not sure who makes the screen though, LG or Samsung?

Yea, I'm sure most are from Samsung, as the V6v/a, W1n, W2v, M6v/a, W1vc, are all Samsung LCDs.
