I am in the need for a new battery and charger for an Asus X5DIJ.

I have tried to find the Asus versions of theses but can't find them, only compatibles made by different brands. Is there anyone out there that knows where i can find them? If not, where is the best and most reputable place to buy these items from?

ps Don't want ot use ebay and want to buy new.

The battery and charger should have part numbers listed on them. If you search by those terms you may find a genuine Asus one by a reseller.

Otherwise you can check estore.asus.com but their prices aren't great.

The number for the charger is N17908 V85.

Can't get the number for the battery at the moment as the laptop is being used for something important so will check later and post when i can.

That isn't the part number of the AC adapter, but it was enough to find that it's a Delta SADP-65KB (you can verify this by looking where it says Model on the label)

    Here's a pic of the battery: http://www.notebookjournal.de/storage/show/image/image4a36448e2a2eb

Part number is A32-F82, same battery used in much of the K series.

    And here's a store selling it: 6Cell Genuine Asus A32-F82 L0690L6 K40 K40E F82 F83S K6C11 Laptop Battery - KingBattery.co.uk

I have no idea how reputable that site is.

Have you - aside from visiting the Asus site - contacted Asus support? Granted, their prices aren't great, but they're more likely to have the replacements (unless of course if it were for a discontinued product). Some parts depots, such as Nexicore, may have the items as well, but may only deal in refurbished material.

The adapter number is adp-65jh bb

Thanks for the info and links ALLurGroceries but apparently that website is not in the uk allthough they make you think that. So would rather not use them.

@Prostar No i haven't contacted Asus support yet, but this maybe one of the only options as i can't seem to find them anywhere. A lot of places claim to be Asus product but when you look closely they are other brands or not UK websites.

Be very careful about aftermarket, third party batteries. You never know whether they're actually compatible/stable or not. I don't have any suggestions for UK retailers, but you are always welcome to try eBay as a final resort. You may come across someone who deals in pulled parts and refurbishment that actually supplies an Asus replacement battery, rather than taking your chances on a third party name.
