    I need to buy a laptop soon for my brother. He had an HP which crapped out and I have decided to go with ASUS now. I am leaning towards "Asus 15.6" Laptop featuring Intel i7-2670QM (X53E-BH71-CA)" Asus 15.6" Laptop featuring Intel i7-2670QM (X53E-BH71-CA) - Black : 15" Laptops - Best Buy Canada for $699

    Hello Soulfly,

    I would definitely suggest the i7-2670, which is a quad core processor over the i5. You'll see massive improvement in power.

    The nVidia GT 540M video card is decent GPU, using the optimus technology.

    Perhaps, check out the ASUS K53SV-DH51 model. It may fit your needs better.
