    Anyone know? I dont even know what its caleld and the CD doesnt label it.

    For the TouchPad on/off, BT on/off, WiFi on/off?

    If so, its the ATK0100 ACPI UTILITY I believe.

    keyboard, for volume and stuff. i put the ATK0100 back on and it works for the brightness but cant adjust the volume.

    also do you think you could help me on this? I dont know what caused this but i installed the ATK and now my video card colour settings wont load up automatically at startup. so i have to do it myself, wtf?

    I even tried reinstalling the ATI card drivers.

    I'm guessing its an Registry error, something must of been removed that shouldn't, or some kind of corruption.

    I think the best way to fix, would be a reformat. That or a system restore!

    It says Hcontrol.exe has caused an error, do you want to send the error report to microsoft.

    If theres anything i can do, let me know.

    Are you using the drivers from the CD or from the Asus site? You might have to uninstall the ATK0100 utility from Add/Remove programs and reinstall it from the Asus site (if it's new)

    Did you install the latest wireless drivers from the intel web site? if so it screws up the hotkeys atk driver thingie.

    i'd be more inclided to blame asus and their lowsy support for HControl and the ATK driver. HControl is failing because it's not a robust program. I wish if they're not going to properly support functionality (i.e. allow manual assignments of buttons) or maintain a robust platform that they'd provide the source code.

    no siht eh geez, stupid ASUS> So I guess the only way is to remove my intel driver or roll back to the previous driver. im very glad i didnt have to reformat just for this.

    Great, now im going to constantly get disconnected lol. When I finally figured out that the new driver is what fixed my wifi. :rolleyes:
