Hello, I got an Asus C90S
    E6600 2.40GHz C2D
    2GB RAM
    NVIDIA 8600M GT 512MB

So my question is, would it be recommended to replac the Video Card to
    8600M GT 256MB GDDR3??

    Thanks in advanced :]

you've got an 8600M-GT with 512Mb VRAM, and you want to replace it with an 8600M-GT with 256Mb VRAM? sounds like a downgrade to me...

I am not a big computer knowledgable person, but I'm asking because of the DDR thing, would it make a difference much?
    since the 8600M 512 is DDR2
    and the 8600M GT 256 is DDR3

Yes it is an upgrade. About 15-20% performance increase due to the 256mb of DDR3 memory (700mhz ddr3 vs 400mhz ddr2). The upgrade costs $179 dollars however so I would wait till summer and see if asus release newer card. Is possible that they release something for the C90P which means also for the C90S. In meantime upgrade your memory if you want a cheap performance increase in games :p
Not sure if you already know but the 2 places I know of to buy the card are excaliberpc.com and gentechpc.com. Hope this helps.

Lol there we go :) problem solved. It seems C90 owners are becoming a rare breed and those like me who have zero issues even rarer!
    Good luck with the sale
