    Dear Colleagues,
    I own a NetBook Asus, model X50SL - ap081c,
Now it is not working. Its MoBo is damaged, version: f5sL.

Cause it was a nice NetBook, although today obsolete, I would like to check if feasible to repair.
From a look around, original MoBo would be available (ca € 50+).

However, since today technology has evolved, since the MoBo should be replaced, I would explore for the feasibility to replace for a upgrading MoBo, newer specs, but interchangeable with version f5sL. I envisage for for a CPU upgrade, RAMs, etc.

For example, cause I own an Intel i5 2540m, socket 988, ideal would be to find an interchangeable MoBo that supports it.
So, I would like to check if some geek on this forum, if exists, and which, interchangeable MoBo to f5sL, upgrading it to newer specs, recent CPU, faster RAMs, etc.

Look forward to hear someone. Thanks. Regards,

Typically, motherboards are not interchangeable. Sometimes you can do this within a given series, meaning you would be getting a board for a similar model within the same generation. Fitting a motherboard from a later model into your current model is unlikely. If someone has done this and can point you in the right direction, that would be great - and I'd like to hear about it!
