    Hi,

I have recently purchased the 1000HA and would like to know what sort things should I be checking for and doing when I first get the netbook.

I'm referring to checking the specs for consistency with the manufacture specs, dead pixels or doing battery calibration.

    Thanks!

Edit: I've read the dummy guides on optimization and Cooling it down. However, if there is anything specific to the 1000HA I should know, please fire away those suggestions! :)

Well, I can't agree that price determines the quality of the product. Macbooks are >$1000 and yet you still need to check for the specs and do battery calibration. Moreover, problems with key freeback was also a frequent issue.

I'm not trying to degrade Apple nor Asus, but sometimes things just happen and I'd be glad that I had checked earlier than later. But I do appreciate you prompt response. :)

I meant that if something goes wrong with 2000$ computer, you ll feel ....,but with ~400$ netbook it is a little better ;)
