I just got my A8Js a few days ago but I just noticed big problems with the keyboard.

I did not notice today because I've been primarily using my desktop PC and I had a USB keyboard plugged into the notebook.

Anyway, theres just a group of keys on the right side of the keyboard that don't seem to be mapped properly ?!

    for example hitting the i will result into a 5, o into a 6

any ideas what I should do? the laptop is in pretty much in perfect condition and barely used.

    Press NumLock :p

On laptops without numpad, numlock usually toggles a virtual numpad which is situated right where you described to get "numbers out of letters" :) See, theres blue numbers written in the keys.

Yeap, pretty much if you use an external keyboard and use the numpad, you have to press numlock on it. Once finished and using the keyboard on the notebook, the settings transfer back on :)

I bet you'd rather feel stupid than the feeling you must have had when your new system didn't seem to work! That's a question we don't typically see (even I rarely use numlock on the laptops), so don't feel bad.

Basically though, that's HARD to enable by accident, because you need to first hold down the blue "Fn" key and then click the "insert" / "numlock" key.... Not easy to do.

Don't worry haha, it happens to me all the time, and I never notice, and then I'll have to re-type everything.

My 'I feel dumb' question was "How do I get into the BIOS?". Not that there is anything you cant actually do of consequence in any laptop BIOS...

Who uses the internal Numkeys? I turn off the Internal Number pad option in the bios so I don't have to mess with it.
