I recently purchased this laptop and I had a minor set back
when I first turned on my laptop I heard this grinding noice that appeared to be comming from heat fan so after some tinkering I opened up the notebook to see what it might be and it turned out that a small plastic residue was stuck behind the fan and it was hitting it...but I had to remove the heat fan to get to it

so I'm just wondering should i exchange this notebook or just keep it, everything else seems to be working properly I guess I can try to get an exchange from the store I bought it from but is it necessary? has anyone else experienced this I dont want to be stuck with a bad batch

Can't you just remove that residue? If yes, do the fan blades appear damaged, or does the fan still make a weird noise after that residue is removed? If yes, then you should have the fan replaced from warranty. Otherwise, don't worry about it.

if you can't fix it, then send it back.

So if the fan blades are not damaged you're probably fine. Do check for that, however.
