Not entirely new news but it's new to me at least... a set of drivers for ASUS notebooks were released on 6th July, including drivers for ATK0100, Power4Gear, Bluetooth, RICOH card reader and wireless LAN.

Not sure the range of models they're for but it's listed for my A6J. Check them out :D

nothing for the A8Jm, latest driver is for sound dated 26th May.

I wonder if i can try that A6J drivers to see what happens, it doesn't make sense that ASUS would release different ATK / Pwr4Gear drivers for every different model. They might just be testing them rt now and will release them soon enuff :S

Not there for A8Jm... prob just A6 model update?

ps. Zydus: there's a new manual dated June 21st for A8Jm... can you open that thing at all? I tried downloading from all the sites, none of them actually open the file.

i dont get the point of releasing new manuals, there's not a lot of new info and one of the diagrams is wrong. It shows that the leds at the front are on the right hand side, but they are on the left of the A8Jm, unless other A8s have it on the right :S seems unlikely

*shrug* .. meh.. I was just hoping the new manuals had something to say about the Instant On or Instant Fun as they've renamed it :) but nothing new on that front ... **** ASUS.. why can't u release a BIOS to fix your problem....

i think it might have more to do than bios. they'll need to install some sort of a linux distro to play movies/music off of. Then there's always the issue of codecs

Some ppl are saying it works fine on models with integrated graphics (ala A8F)...
Just wish there were an A8F user here to test it out for us..
