When I purchased my computer in January the screen was fine, sometime while updating (I think to BIOS 207) I started getting a grainy screen. ASUS BIOS flash utility does not let you revert to an older BIOS, so I thought I was screwed. Well ASUS came out with 208 recently, and I am happy to say that updating to this new BIOS completely repaired my screen, looks better than new. :D Not sure if there are any F3JP users left in this forum, but figured I'd spread the news to others suffering.

Maybe useful for other users / in the future:

You can easily force an older BIOS to be written using I think the /nodate command line switch.

    Or the DOS utility.
Or the BIOS-based EasyFlash utility, if one is available for your notebook.

    It's
    Code:
    Winflash /nodate
in "run" under the start menu to be precise.

You could free of grayness since May, when v2.08 was released
If you ever need to revert (in case 2.09 makes grayness return) just do what E.B.E wrote; use BIOS-based EasyFlash utility ( F4 during restart)
