    - I can't seem to install and use 3dMark06 - it reports an error as... "Invalid bitmap format". is there anything special I need to do before I can use that?
    - Rivatune refuses to work.
    - CPU is idling at 65 degrees celsius as reported by the NHC and RMclock utilities - goes up to 75-80 when running superpi. This is not normal, is it?

    - Quite a bit of light leakage at the bottom of the screen - this a lemon or normal?

-No hardware monitoring programs work on my G1S
-Super Pi is supposed to push your CPU creating stress that would cause temps that high, sounds fine.
-I have some light leakage stretching from the bottom left ro right of my screen, although it isnt that wide. I only notice it on a black screen and it doesnt bother me to much. I dont see it when Im gaming so its fine IMO.

According to SpeedFan, my CPU only gets to 65 during intense use, such as gaming.

On my g1s speedfan shows a cpu temperature of 40c, while another program called Core Temp shows 55c. So different programs have different readings as they read different parts of the cpu.

Does the G1S actually pull air up from the bottom?

I think so. The fan blows air out the back so the intake has gotta be from the bottom.
