Oh man that G60 looks hawt.
Any idea how much the G60 is gonna run? -
I have no idea right now. I would guess around $2000+ because that is around the G71 price.
-
That G60 looks an awful lot like my G51.
Actually it looks exactly like my G51. -

"That just leaves pricing and availability. Asus was quoting an £1,499 SRP, which isn't too bad for a high-spec system and premium chassis, with models due to go on sale in mid-July. Overall our initial impressions of the system are pretty positive. For a gaming laptop it's relatively compact and its design is unobtrusive, with only the backit keyboard adding a little panache. We'll be sure to give our verdict next month when it goes on sale."

it seems like with specs like those they will eat right through their 6 cell batteries, right?
-
The N51 looks real nice..
I believe I saw somewhere there's this new N81 that comes with the GT220M , maybe to replace the N81Vg -
Is it just me or the N51 looks like a HP laptop?
-
It does look like an HP DV notebook from that angle. If it wasnt for the blurry Asus near the hinge I would wonder about the pic too.
-
Yes the N51 looks very nice, just hope the 240 M GPU meets some of my expectations in the performance dept.
Overall it's a slick looking system -
Howitzer225 Death Company Dreadnought
Yep. Almost certainly looks like a Pavilion to me.
First time other than the GTX 260M & 280M have made their way into laptops. I hope notebooks such as thin and lights would also get the upgrade soon. Oh, a 45nm of the 260M & the 280M would be nice. -
Any Idea when the F50SF will be available in Canada?
-
As of now I do not have a release date. I suspect end of this month or beginning of next month.
-
-
nice to see the Nvidia chips coming

The G60 on a dutch site:
G60VX-JX001K / 16i / Q9000 \ 4GB 640GB/Blu-ray combo / GTX260 1GB/ VHP64 Win7 upgr / 2.0m-cam / Bluetooth / 802.
€1.567,23 incl. taxes -
I guess they will have to come with 9 cell batteries then if not then I feel bad for anyone not using them as a desktop replacement.

The F50SF is available now for around $800 w/$100 rebate, +/- which is a good price, I think, given the specs. I was lucky enough to find one even cheaper, but appears it was a one time lucky find. Anyway, for a P8700, GT 220M, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB 7200rpm HDD, etc. I could not find anything else better. I had my eye on a Sony Vaio CW unit for around $950-1050 w/230M but for the money decided to go with the lower cost Asus. (I play mostly older games anyway.)
The Asus does indeed look a lot like some HP's (like my dv9000) which, to me, is a good thing as I like the look. -
