Amazing ultra-thin design that'll surely compete with Apple, though as others have said, price is rather steep. If recent rumours about the new MBP is correct, it would share similar thin-and-light characteristics with the MBA. Why then, wouldn anyone want to pick up the ASUS? Their entire UX lineup needs to be $150 or so cheaper in order to be competitive.

The 1080p IPS screen looks pretty tasty, but the 165 pixel density would make me think twice.

It will be interesting to see that other manufacturers have to offer. For now, Asus seems to have set the standard for others to compete with. I would wait and see what Sony and Lenovo have in store before giving Asus my hard earned cash. Plus, I truly hate Asus service here in the US.
