    New Asus heatpipe in V6va (pics)

    This is stuff a German retailer sent me.

    The first picture shows the old cooling system, the second the new one. The third is their new copper heatpipe and the fourth a thermal picture of heat dissipation in the V6va.

    I didn't take these pictures so I can't comment on them or confirm their authenticity, but I wouldn't know why the retailer should give me wrong information.

    Seems like the new GPU HSF ain't anything special, just that the X600 in the V6v produced little enough heat that it didn't need a real heatsink and a sheet of aluminum could cool it.

    lol, the thermal pic looks as if flames are coming out of the vent at the top right.

    Yeah...that right palm rest looks HOT!
    Although I guess in reality, when we're actually using it, it shouldn't be too bad...

    That's right, that is authentic........ the x700 needed a different cooling method and that heatpipe weights a bit more than the other one...... but it's NEEDED!
