I saw. Asus has the bloody biggest lineup ever. And they seem to be running out of ideas.

I miss the M5/W3/V6 days as well.

    Scented laptops? Wow!

    (^^ sarcasm ^^)

I guess there are some who may buy them for that, who knows.

I'm waiting for the reviews for that new " Business" model. (btw the image is broken on the ASUS news release)

Right now, seems that all the traces of the old M5/M6/V6/W3 styling are slowly being removed from their lines. The "U" still have some of it, but not much. Shiny, high-performing, not-too-expensive laptops are the big thing. Some of them have excellent price/performance ratio (M50 for instance), but it's not the most important thing that I'm looking for in a laptop (of course, the fact that ASUS focuses on such laptops is not a bad thing because of that). Given your remarks, I guess it's not yours either. But we seem to be in a minority...

Yes, we are. Asus's are selling like hotcakes. Asus's market diversity was always high here in sweden (had, like, nearly all the models), but they weren't available in the big stores. Now they are, at a very good price.

I really wish I had gotten a W3 instead of an A8. Alas, it was off the market by then.

check it now, it works. its an all black laptop, not too different from the other business oriented laptops we've seen. Interestingly it has an led backlit keyboard.

B5xx -- say goodbye to the V1, this is going to be it's replacement (I'll bet $0.50 on it) :D Looks like an interesting model, however.

The "scent-releasing" notebooks, however....... what is the world coming to? Who on earth in Asus' marketing dept managed to get that one past executive review?! Hopefully this isn't going to be Asus' sole remaining entry in the 13" market.

I found the B-series a few weeks back, and I still give it a resounding meh.

I love the styling of the F8's, but the F6.... what in the hell? Who thought that crap up?
