    New Asus or old Asus

    I was on the asus global sight and i saw an asus model i dont remember seeing. It was the G1 and the G2 models. I dont remember seeing them before. Just checking if they were new. I dont think they are.

    They're old, the G1 was replaced by the G50.

    I'd recommend avoiding them as they have started experiencing GPU failures.

    Yeah, the original G1 came out in fall '06. (ASUS' first foray into the gaming laptop world). The G1s came out in spring '07 (I had one before it died on me a few months ago). G1sn came out a year or so later, and now they're on to the G50/G51/G60 series.

    The G2 was the 17" version of the G1.
