I ordered a UL30VT-A1 this morning. When I get it, I plan to immediately do a fresh install with a genuine copy of Windows 7 Pro x64 that my friend recently gave me.
He gave me the Windows 7 USB Utility and I did everything and that's set. So when I get the laptop, I will immediately turn it on, go into BIOS, set the USB drive first, and then restart to get into Win 7's installation.
Once it's installed, will Windows Update be able to download and apply all the drivers for me? Or do I have to go and manually get the 80 downloads and whatnot from the ASUS site? I assume the NVIDIA switch drivers are included on the site and on windows update?
Any response is welcome. Thank you.

You don't need to download every single drivers on asus site. Here what you need if you want minimalistic with some OSD:
ATK:
ASUS ATKOSD2 Utility - For On Screen Display
ATK Media Utility - FN Media keys
ATK Hotkey Utility - FN Hot keys
ATK Generic Function Service Utility - For Turbo/OC
ATKACPI Driver - Think of this like a chipset driver
Audio:
nVidia HD (High Definition) Audio Driver - HDMI audio output when using HDMI via nvidia
Realtek Audio Driver - Audio
VGA:
nVidia Graphics Driver - Nvidia/hybrid. This may be the only driver you need if you do a windows update.
Card Reader
Alcor AU6433 Card Reader Driver - Same explanatory
Touchpad:
TOUCHPAD driver - for the multigesture feature.
Utilities:
Power4Gear Hybrid Utility - Turbo/OC and power profile.
Wireless:
Vary unless you have a Intel wireless card which I recommend the latest from Intel themselves.
Others:
Keyboard Device Filter Utility - same as ATKACPI Driver
The rest windows will take care of unless you need more feature from the bluetooth driver, etc.
