Hey Guys,
Well last week were were able to get the 1gb Corsair DDR2 533 modules at a great price and that price is now being reflected in our system prices. 1gb sticks are now part of the standard options (replacing 512mb) and jumping to 2gb is now only $75..... .
Z70va's are very limited and also backordered everywhere, including Asus till January.
Z63a's are a great gift --- remember that![]()

Thats good... we still a lot left, but a lot doesn't last that long this time of year (for us anyway). But basically...... till the middle of January we still expect the usual quadrupling of patrons, but as you said.. the more others run out, the more that go to where they can find them and they simply won't last. No one could have predicted it, but I imagine we'll run out by Friday.... but no one can really tell.
Right now the Z70va is not going to be refreshed for the napa platform and the next shipment for "mid-January" is really supposed to be just something to hold over dealers till some of the new models start coming in in February........ so I don't think anything is going to be "completely revised" ....... the last two large shipments from tiawan had a whole new lcd chip which samsung guarenteed not to cause the same problems.... so I don't know what you'd think would be totally revised about it.... it's not going to get switched to the napa platform or anything...
Again, I just don't know where your information comes from......... Samsung is subsidizing screen replacements for the z70va's that had that problem and they are buying back the screens that are replaced and are replacing the lcd chip and will resell them somewhere down the line. It's really not costing Asus much at all except time and shipping (which is a lot I guess, but not close to the cost of an lcd itself). -

My info comes from me and what i see everyday. You know i dont talk to anyone about my info. I talk to sales maybee once a month.

... ok, what you said makes absolutely no sense but since I know where my information comes from, could the reason you don't talk about it be because you a pulling it out of thin air? Maybe.

No the reason i dont talk to them is becuase the info is flawed. I get solid hands on info never flawed. Thats what its all about. If it dont make sense to you then perhaps you rely on asus info too much. Flawed info corrupts the mind. As far as pulling things out of thin air..... If it was only that easy i d be here all day long talking out of my a$$. I ll let that slip by. You obviously dont believe what you just said. That would just be too funny if you did and i d be rolling around on the flooor now. I am not so i think you jsut said that without putting any thought behind the words. If i am pulling my accurate info out of thin air where are you pulling your flawed info from? Hope its thin air as well.

... yeah, the information can be flawed, but you need to get it at it's source and I know for a fact you're getting it at least one person down which doesn't help the situation at all. Logically thinking this out - they are not going to totally revise the Z70 series and that's not why their stock level is low. It's low because there was a shortage of screens. It's not getting revised into the napa platform and THAT would be the only reason to "revise it"....
.... You're a betting man and I know that... why don't you make your predictions of what's going to happen. It's one thing to take what you hear with a grain of salt... it's another to take that and flip it into your own fairytale.
What are calling flawed info? We're not even on the same level so an argument of this sort isn't going to get anywhere..... beleive what you want Eddie, you're obviously in your own little world in this situation. -

We most certainly are not. I know my place. Thats one thing i dont like to do. Wont make predictions. I ll bet on my self and the info i get from the man that hands it down to me cus i know he made it thought about it and fixed prolly found the solution and cause for it not had it spoon fed to him. The hand me downs come from a seat about 5 feet away from mine so i ll bet on that anytime.

just wanted to know if these memory prices were in all your ASUS models or only specific ones?

all notebooks that use ddr2 533 - but you could take some time and look at the site and see for yourself.
-
that was a legit question, no need to get all pissy or to try and start fights with g2p for that matter as you did earlier by calling him out and saying he was pulling things from thin air. lets be respectable here

Waste your time posting a dumb response to something that didn't involve you.... good use of your time. I did answer the question quite simply and then also quite simply told the person they can look at our site. If you took it any differently - that's your own problem.

This is an open forum. Everyone is entitled to their own prgtive. It takes a little more then baseless statements to call me out. Like i said. Not every king is crowned a night and vise versa. Its hard to be respectable when you are the self appointed crowned king of asus. Theres a cheap shot for ya.

Cool it down, guys...
-
ahh the memories... lol

thanks for the response, went to your site and viewed the models. very impressive offerings you have, would consider an Asus for myself early next year maybe.
sorry if anyone took offense at my question or it started an issue, i'm not just too knowledgeable about notebooks so was trying to get an answer and i did -
