My son has just bought a new Asus Ul80Vt directly from USA and it was delivered today (taking less than a week from when I placed the order).

After viewing the screen for a few minutes, we quickly looked up the Asus policy on dead pixels, because, apparently, we had one right in the middle of the screen.

Except, we don't! The supplied wall-paper itself contains an image of a dead pixel, which could be troublesome for Asus if people start returning their new laptops to Asus under the 30-day policy in the mistaken belief that they have a problem.

Thanks for the heads-up. A couple others have said they had what looked like a dead pixel in the center of the screen, but it went away after removing some bloatware or something if I remember correctly. Also, they couldn't right click on that spot for some reason, so it was some kind of program running or something? I don't know, but I just hope I don't get any real dead pixels when I receive my ul80vt.
