New BIOS revision released in June:
    ftp://dlsvr01.asus.com/pub/ASUS/nb/W3A/W3A0801AS.zip

    Here are the release notes:
    BIOS Ver.0801AS
    1. Support Brazilian keyboard matrix
    2. Add support for high data transfer rate device such as firewire interface DV
User must set "high data throughput support" item to 1 to enable this function

Doesn't seem like anything really changed... well, nothing that affects me. I guess I won't update

Updated my Z63 from the original z's 0602 to 0801 last week. No problems that I've been able to detect, but the fan seems to come on at a bit higher temp/later than before; don't know about any potential fan speed difference, but I didn't check it before the flash. I *do* like the nifty ASUS logo that I get on bootup now :D

Hmm... so I guess they may have changed the fan threshold...
does the fan ever turn off? Or is it the same scenario where when the fan comes on, it never turns off?

Never gotten it to turn off once it goes on, even when the temp gets back down to 40 :(
