Hey all!
Just ordered my new W3J from www.btotech.com (who ROCKS by the way!, 3 email responses within 12 hrs of my order!) Once the lappy gets here, I'll put pics of all the goodies I got, as well as maybe write up an article on the experience, and impressions. I've tried to be helpful to everyone here, and now I need a bit of assistance myself!
I have almost all of my little accessories ready to go, including a wireless RF mouse, webcam/keyboard light, etc...except one. I really, REALLY want a Wireless headset for my laptop, and would prefer it to be Bluetooth, so that I don't have to have yet ANOTHER USB adapter plugged in for stuff.
I need wireless mostly because my cat has this INSANE penchant for headset/headphone cables. He's destroyed 4 Plantronics headsets, 2 cheapo headsets, 3 Headphone sets, and I have no reason to believe he'd stop at that. The only reason my current $10 Wal-Mart headset has not died, is because I have wrapped the cord from head to plug with automotive wiring conduit. You can imagine my Vader-like facade as I write this. Its only headsets he destroys, nothing else.
I work in a Callcenter, so i might even get one that can interface with my phone as well...but this is SECONDARY.
In any case,my criteria are as follows:
- One-ear, the smaller the better...and comfortable for many hours' use at a time.
- Good battery life. I'll be using it for hours at a time.
- Decent sound quality, and good pickup on the receiver.
- Easy controls and good battery life
- Rechargeable via USB (so I can charge from the computer, while on AC)
If anyone uses a BT headset with their W3J, lemme know how it works out, and what it costs. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip! I'll check it out.
Does anyone else have experience with other Bluetooth headsets? Any brands/models to avoid? Any other good ones? I wanna hear! -
plantronics is really good for those kinds of things. i got the voyager 510 but you can't recharge it over usb. i bought it for 70 canadian and it's really good. nothing to complain about.
