An unknown number of units shipped in early 2008 had an issue where the wrong screws were used on the chipset heatsink. The screws are too long and cause a thermal gap to develop between the die and heatsink. this will cause the notebook to shut down after about 20 minutes or less if it is being pushed. one of the screws that needs to be replaced is under plastic and is hard to get to. this may not be possible by the end user. so far we have found 2 units like this. i do not know how many more exist, i dont even know if any at all exist besides the ones we have. I recall seeing a post around here where a user was complaining about this. If anyone recalls where it was feel free to let the guy know.

Anyways, atleast it was caught and its not like the C90S had a string of "hardware" failures, most issues the C90S did have were just issues with hardware being used in ways it was not designed to (I got to work on one of the Notebook with a desktop Pentuim 4, that was a disaster). And this is one of those minor issues that will slip through QA and have large results, no way around it. -
