    i just came to confirm that asus has offical drivers for there penyrn asus g2sg posted and ready for download.
    Does anyone know when it going to be launched?

    Penryn chips aren't being released until the first 1/2 of Jan. When Asus decides to put them into the units is anyone's guess, but historically they have been slow adopters of new tech into their products -- I'd hazard a guess to say sometime in the first qtr of 08, but not likely early in that stretch.

    right now it seems that asus has some pretty big mail in rebates on the current G2S models, im guessing that there trying to sell off there stock of the current G2S models, but im guessing that the new G2Sg will be out soon, im hoping they make a G2Sg-B2 (aka 3gb with 200gb 7200RPM hdd and high and cpu)
