    hi all, my old g51 fro, best buy had a dead onboard battery.....bb just gave me the new g51 instead (hint hint if anyone wants an upgrade), the new one with the white lid does not have a way that i can find to disable lights...i installed direct console but that doesnt work....any one know? i HATE them!!!

    you cant turn them off atm. they only go off when you are running on battery.

    what he means that the only way right now is to physically cut or disable the power cables running to the lights

    ic, i guess asus cut some corners om this thing to add a fancy KB and a new video card.....bummer...i wish i kepy my older g51
