Just a note for folks who did not see that Asus last week posted new video drivers for the G2s. I loaded them on my G1s and they work fine. I have not done any performance testing.

Well, if they both have the same GPU manufacturer...
-
Also same graphics card.....
-
I'm not surprised the driver works and my post was not related to surprise or concern about whether the driver would work.
My point was to alert folks that a newer driver for the G1s gfx card was available, but you have to look for it in the G2s section of Asus' website.

So, what's "new" in this driver?
-
Don't think release notes are available - just that the date of the driver is more recent, so hopefully bugfixes, etc. I've tried this driver and not noticed any improvement however.

if you go to the nvidia control panel, what driver versions are listed for the files?
-

The jury's definitely out on that one, X3baddad. See my other post here:

consensus seems to be a forceware driver issue, and I've not found a driver yet that runs smoothly in the G1s. Hope its a happier story for you....
