Ok, i just got the modular battery for my precious W3J. Plugged it in for its first charge and though it was all good but have a look at the picture.
In mobile meter, it says that the total capacity for the battery is 88,800mWh
The remaining charge on the battery is 318,466mWh (oh and its still charging as I type - It has hit 400,000mWh now)
The battery meter thiny from windows says 100% but as you can see its still charging.
The last think i want to point out is the charge rate on Mobile meter, its charging at 498-499w!!!!
Oh the other weird thing that i have seen is that the main battery only have a capacity of 69465mWh with 0% wear level where as the modular battery has 88,800mWh. I'm sure i have the 8 cell main battery as the laptop lasts about 4 hours on battery and no 4 cell will be able to achieve such a feat. So is there something wrong with my laptop or my battery or windows?
Hope nothing bad happens to my laptop ie *boom*
Thanks in advance guys and gals

Sorry I can't anwer your question, but may I ask how do you get an optical battery for W3J in Australia? And do you use Windows Vista in your W3J or it's some kind of Windows XP theme?
-
lol hey, there are a couple of ways to get the battery in Australia.
1. Order through Asus australia - but they'll charge a kidney for it (AUD$395) and ask you to wait about 4 weeks
2. Get one sent from the states - cheaper, but need to find someone that wants to send it to you
3. Get someone who is coming from overseas such as USA, (insert a country in SE Asia) - Even cheaper
And I have used Vista on the W3J - everything installed but there was a problem with the hotkeys along the side of the laptop, (doesnt register) so I changed back to XP. I'm also using windowblinds with the eminence skin. -
hmmm it seems to be fixed now. I resetted the computer but that didnt change anything. Then i tried to reset it again after playing with a few of the power settings and accidentally hit the shut down button instead of the reset button. lol But when it rebooted, it was reading the battery properly again. This is like weird hahaha. Hopefully it'll stay good now =D

When i installed Vista, i was using the original one that came with the laptop. (I tried installing Vista the second day i got the laptop lol) I can't remember what bios it was tho. I got the laptop on around the 15th of october. But i dont know if that helps. Now i am using the one that fixes the graininess on the screen from the stickied post.
Oh and does anyone know why the drain rate increases by like 7w with the optical battery plugged in?? I was looking and it said 23w once i plugged it in but it was only draining a steady 15w without the 2nd battery.
With just the main battery, the power meter said 4hrs 15mins left. Without changing any other settings /programs, but just plugging the secondary battery, the battery meter life says 4hrs 51min.
New optical battery weirdness (W3J)
