Arrgggg The title's a bit deceiving since it doesn't look to be an official ASUS driver release. Don't be getting our GDDR3 owner's hopes up..

What is the difference between these and 16x series for laptops?

Highest temperature is 89 celcius during the test... these new drivers are cooler too. I bet i could push 5700+ or maybe 5800+. Not bad results. Stable and cooler.

Giving it a try, seems like Riva tuner isn't recognizing clocks and or changing it, and turbo gear doesn't seem to affect it either..

Might have a conflict with old vga turbo gear (nope uninstalled it still no good)

Immediately drops clocks to 182/600 and doesn't change. Somethings wrong here
OCing with riva doesn't doesn't work either.

you have to oc via bios. The clocks drop because its made to conserve power... if you start it up itll imediatly changes to the clocks that are standard.

    oc via bios

I can OC on Server 2008 32bits no problems. Yes the temp seems down. It's idling at 75 now, rather than 78

I don't know maybe it's junk on x64 Vista. Nothing seems to be working to make it fully functional for me.

A driver without a software OC just doesn't work for me. I still don't know why there aren't any out there. Guess it's back to 6 month old drivers, yeah..

Although I might dig up my pen drive one of these days..

    Sgt. Hollywood...

Oc through bios is the easiest thing ive ever done... If you want me to write you a guide how to do it I will... Its easy i set my video card to 634 core / 1550 shaders / 880 memory and if you use battery saver mode in xp your cores will drop to low 3d power defaults.

Im telling you right now that because of the new drivers my games were running faster. With my old driver i had to run gears of war at a low res ocd with major slow downs. With the new ones i run it at highest possible resolution ocd at 40 fps. These new drivers makea huge diffrence compared to the stock ones. Just do the oc in bios. It takes 2 minutes. Im telling you.

Ha, I know how to OC. :err:

I was speaking of power saving speed clock speed stepping. Since clock rates will no longer be affected by the Turbo Gear Driver via button.
