W90 is the cheapest high end gaming notebook by far, your not going to get a better deal.

You may not think its worth it but you can get the A1 for $2,400 from gentechpc and you will get a 2nd hdd and a blueray drive.

Its not the upgrade in parts that would make me buy from gentech though its the service.

I bought the model from newegg, but its isn't a pricedrop just a remove of features . 2 things are gone . 2nd hadrive ( had to buy an external one, but just for backup ), and bluray ( had to buy an external bluray ), it comes up around the same, a little bit like 40-50 dollars more, damm though I live in puerto rico so I had to pay a huge ammount of shipping ( plus its from fed-ex ) so price was a bit high, but after not being able to buy a laptop for almost 2 months now ( pc has no sound, the other laptop recharges when it stops bleeding ) I just had to take the plunge ... hope im happy !

edit : also people stop with the waits, ( not saying to you op ), some wait for new models to come out, but seriously a month later there is an ever better model .

I got mine for 2300 from them, which was about 10 days ago. Their inventory is getting low, so they are hiking the price up. It's cheaper than an alienware, which costs 4000 if you want it to compete/beat the w90.

Well when you dig up a thread that is almost 2 months old no; however in June when he made the comment I believe the price had just gone down to around $2200 which for that computer was/is "cheap".

Even though the price may have dropped, I thhink its just stupid to spend 2600 on a laptop. Get a 1100 dollar laptop and a 1500 dollar desktop. Then you got a good gaaming laptop and a high end desktop that is much stronger than the laptop.

This is exactly what i did, but every person has different needs and preferences. A desktop is not portable by any means and this may be an issue for mobile gamers whom often participate in lan parties. Also, if one machine can do it all, why invest the time and effort to purchase 2 systems? Keep in mind that the more laptops you have = more time required for maintenance (software/OS installations and updates, HDD defrag, etc).
