    Hi all,

I keep having audio issues when I either start up my pc or return from hibernation. There is simply no sound. I check out the device manager and it says everything is working properly. However when I check the Sounds and Audio Devices in the Control panel and it says No Audio Device. I've tried Fn+F10 nothing happens, there is just nothing.
I have reinstalled the Audio driver that came with the computer on the cd. It does say that it is not xp signed or something didn't know what that meant.

    Any ideas out there?

    Thanks

I have exactly the same problem. Sometimes its there, sometimes its just gone. Its related to the ATKOSD.exe that should start up automatically at startup, but it vanishes after hibernation. I also experience random hiccups with Powergear now and then: It completely goes haywire and only a reboot fixes the problem.

I have been trying to pinpoint the cause of this, but unsuccesful so far.......

Your answer is the hybernation, its XPs fault, never had a computer that successfully and repeatedly wakes up from hybernation correctly, something always loads incorrectly. Thus the only thing u can do is reboot.

But his happens all the time. Just happen now when I started it up from shut down. I find it rediculous that you have to restart a computer to get something working. If anyone finds an answer please let me know.
