    No Cd Text On G50v Dvd Drive

    The dvd drive on g50v does not support cd text I used nero info tool to confirm this. Is there a firmware update to resolve this problem. This is a lg drive "hl-dt-st dvdram gsa-t50L.

    That stuff is pretty much universal plug and play so sounds odd. Id like to confirm it but dont have a CD on hand. I did burn a cd for my boss the other day and it had all the normal options but it was a data dvd.

    LG is a real and respectable brand as well so even tho you say you confirmed it, I think it has to be a software issue. Once I or somebody else have confirmed it also tho then we have a good basis to start asking Asus questions and demanding solutions.
