    Hello,
I have the N81VP. I installed Windows 7 64 bit. HDMI video out works, but HDMI audio out is no longer working since the upgrade to Windows 7. I installed drivers from both realtek and ATI, as well as upgrading to the latest BIOS.

Does anyone else have this problems with using HDMI audio out on Windows 7 or know why it might not be working?

Open your audio CP (right click on the speaker in your tray) go to playback devices. Choose HDMI out as your Default device. you should now hear audio via HDMI.

I've had the same problem on both my laptops at home too, one which has RTM and other RC. I set the default device as HDMI as well, but no sound would come out :(
