    Hi

I have just bought an A6JA with a BisonWebcam&Microphone integrated.
My ASUS Laptop works well but i can not use my microphone!

I tried the latest Realtek Driver ALC 8800(D) on my XP System

    I don't understand whats happening!

I bought this laptop in order to use skype (video and voice)
Skype identify the BisonCam, my cam is ok
But in audio, i have just 2 choice: windows by default and realtek hd audio

I can not choose bison cam in audio settings

And the most unbelievable, is that my Altec Lansing Microphone is not recognize!Skype doesn't record my voice with my headset (i wondering if my realtek chipset is not dead?)

    Thanks for your help

On control panel, go to sound and audio device properties.. there is a setting for AUDIO and VOICE .. you may want to check that first..

    how old is your A6JA?
maybe you can boot from recovery disk/recovery partition to restore the default drivers... but this will surely wipe your personal data on C: drive..

Double click the little speaker icon on your system tray. On the far-right is a column for microphone volume. Untick the mute option.
