No SN on g51 best buy model?

I need my serial number to qualify for the winows7 upgrade, but I can't seem to find a ten character serial number anywhere under my laptop or on the box. On the best buy sticker that they put on the side of the box, there i a place marked SN #, but there isn't a number after it, almost like they forgot to put it in or something. If anyone can let me know where I can find my number, or if they have had this problem too, please let me know.

 

Nobody knows where the serial number is located?

 

The serial number is located beneath the laptop, on the box and inside your warranty card.

Underneath the laptop, there should be a sticking stating the model and S/N numbers with a barcode, check number and warranty duration.

 

So when can we redeem the windows 7 upgrade?

I'm almost 100% sure best buy screwed me. There is honestly no ten character number anywhere on my laptop or on my box. And I didn't buy an extended warranty, so there's no card. My receipt has something called a Serial Nbr, but that is no where near ten characters, in fact its 19. Idk what to do, I don't think best buy would give me a serial number over the phone, and if I took in a box without a serial number they would probably say I stole it. I guess I'll just be stuck with vista

 

Go back to best buy with your receipt and ask them where it is.
