I'm curious as to why nobody seems to be mentioning the W1N as a potential buy - especially after the price drop?

Looking at the specs I would've thought it to be a great deal. Granted, it's a Dothan processor but is that really such a big deal?

Or am I missing something here?

The Z71V and Z70va notebooks offer much more advanced, state-of-the-art technology, better performance, are more configurable, lighter, and cost less than the W1N. If I missed anything, others will fill in the blanks, I'm sure. ;)

Good price, but that's basically just so Asus can get rid of them.... for the price I think it is a wonderful buy considering at this time last year it was $2,500..... it's still a computer that's going to get you a few years of use.... but the newer technology is mainly what these people are after... The W1 is still going to turn more heads than the Z70va though.

It just seemed that the look of the W1N seemed quite a bit better than the Z70 series....enough to want to make people buy it.
    Anyways, thanks for the perspectives!

For sure it's very sleek and aesthetically appealing... but the technology is over a year old now, so really, you're just paying for the looks.

Stick the guts of a Z70va into the W1N and you'll have the best selling notebook of all time. :D

Maybe...maybe not. The W1N is still a bit on the heavy side...
